Common questions

FAQ — Toyota Lost Key Replacement

Do I need a working key to use this service?

No. We specialize in lost-all-keys situations. Ship us the door lock, ECU or immobilizer module and we work from that — no original key required at any point in the process.

Does the immobilizer module or ECU need to be reprogrammed too?

Yes — on most Toyota models the key and Ecu or immobilizer are electronically paired. We handle the full programming sequence so your vehicle starts and runs exactly as it should.

Is this cheaper than a dealer?

Yes, almost always significantly cheaper. Dealers charge full labor rates plus parts markup. We bundle labor and materials into one flat price with no dealer overhead — and you never have to tow the vehicle. In most cases dealers no longer service these vehicles because the ecu or immobilizer system parts are discontinued.

Do I need to send both the ECU or Immobilizer module and the door cylinder?

For lost-all-keys situations yes — we need both the ecu or immobilizer module and the door lock cylinder to generate a new working key from scratch. We will tell you exactly what to remove when we contact you after your form submission.

Do I need to tow the whole vehicle to you?

No — usually just the door lock cylinder and ECU or immobilizer module. We'll tell you exactly what to remove and how to ship it when we contact you after your form submission.

Toyota models we service equipped with transponder system:

4Runner (1998–2002) · Avalon (1998–2004) · Camry (1998–2004) · FJ Cruiser (2010) · Highlander (2001–2003) · Land Cruiser (1998–2004) · MR2 (2001–2004) · Prius (2001–2003) · RAV4 (2002–2003) · Sienna (1998–2004) · Sequoia (2003–2008) · Solara (1998–2004) and others. Not sure if your model is covered? Call or text us at 678-699-2634.

We reflash ECU's and Modules to accept new keys when programmers can't.
